About Joe

Joe Whiley is the Licensed Insolvency Practitioner who takes formal CVL and MVL appointments through Insolvency Direct and provides the IP oversight behind every pre-appointment Bank Analysis run on Insolnet.

On the Insolnet workflow, our accountant relationship manager, Alisdair Findlay, undertakes the initial review of each Bank Analysis — the deterministic categoriser output and the Anthropic Claude Opus 4.7 IP-specific findings — and raises anything material with Joe before the report is issued to the introducing accountant. The aim is that no Bank Analysis goes into a working conversation with an accountant without an IP having stood behind it.

Licence and regulation

What Joe is responsible for on every Insolnet case

• • Providing IP oversight of the pre-appointment Bank Analysis reviews — the relationship manager escalates anything material to Joe before a report is issued to the accountant.
• • Joining the working call with the introducing accountant where a question needs the IP directly — on the analysis findings, the realistic options, and the recommendation to the client.
• • Where the case proceeds to liquidation, taking the appointment as Liquidator under his IPA-issued licence and conducting the statutory CVL or MVL process to closure.
• • Filing the CDDA s.7A conduct report on every director who has served in the three years preceding insolvency, and signing the SIP 9 fee disclosure.
